Pub Time   2013-05-31

TEEK held a handover ceremony for its first GL Certificate for DF2000 gearbox on May 29, 2013.
TEEK has been found in 2010, as a new startup company with a handful of engineers from Zhuzhou Automotive Gearbox to become a new player of wind power gearbox for the fast growing market.
With the support of the government of Tianjin, a new factory was erected on 20-hectare area in Baodi Economic Development Area in Tianjin Municipality.
With major investment most modern production machinery, mostly from Europe, for manufacturing and heat treatment of large size gears was erected.
In parallel, new types of gearbox were designed based on license of RENK AG Germany. In the extremely short time and in the cooperation with several sub-suppliers first gear units were produced according to high quality requirements of international standards.
The performance was proven on a new test bench from RENK Test System witnessed by GL and the customer Xuji Wind Power.
So, this is the first time that a GL Certificate was conferred to a startup company for the first gearbox produced.
GL expert Dr. Steingroever explicitly congratulated the young company and its meanwhile rapidly grown number of employees to this outstanding achievement with the support of RENK.
