"Large Ring Gear Carburizing and Quenching Technology" Approved as National Scientific and Technolog

On December 26, Xu Binshi, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, presided over the "High Strength Large Thin-walled Ring Gear Carburizing and Quenching Technology" assessments.
Teek has successfully applied this technology in the 2 MW wind power gearbox. With this technology, the deformation (over-bins measurement) of carburized and quenched ring gear (diameter=2m) is less than 0.5 mm or less. It is a breakthrough in domestic industrial and has reached the international top level.
The appraisal committee eventually came into a unified opinion:" This project solves the deformation control problems of large thin-wall ring gear during carburizing and quenching. It is among the international levels and will replace the imported products."
This technology is expected to be applied for such industries as wind power, marine, ship engineering, railway transportation, etc.
